Terres de l’Ebre Biosphere Reserve was declared in May of 2013 because of its values such as landscape richness, the representativeness of its Mediterranean ecosystems and its conservation of biodiversity model. In July of 2015 entered into force ´Terres de l’Ebre, Biosphere Reserve brand´.  Accredited companies should make commitments to make use of the brand adding value to Biosphere Reserve; they should accomplish commitments related to enhance the quality of products and services, to the territory, to environmental sustainability, and Social Responsibility.
Certifying Organisation

Brand Evaluation Committee. This is composed by Tortosa’s Chamber office, COPATE, Government of Catalonia and agricultural Union (Unió de Pagesos)  and workers unions (UGT, CCOO).
Partner Organisation/s
The organization chart of the Reserve is composed by the main management body composed by the Catalan Government, the 4 counties councils  of Terres de l’Ebre: Consell Comarcal del Montsià, Consell Comarcal del Baix Ebre, Consell Comarcal de Ribera d’Ebre and Consell Comarcal de Terra Alta, the technician office of COPATE and Tortosa’s Chamber office. It also cooperates URV, Rovira i Virgili Tarragona University,  and Tourist Board of Tarragona
