The beach Badstrand has had a Blue Flag for years, reflecting the good quality of the bathing water. The beach is listed in the top 30% of cleanest beaches in the Netherlands, made possible by various ‘beach clean’ projects. In order to maintain the beauty of the landscape, Noordwijk is enhancing the sewage water buffering, filtering capacity and their sea defence system. Gold Award 2010.
