Knowledge Networking Portal for Sustainable & Responsible Tourism
First Global Labelguide for Tourists published!
On 11th January 2012 at the Vienna Tourism Fair the first global Ecolabel Guide for sustainable tourism was presented.
The booklet informs about a selection of 20 leading international and national certificates for tourism services and tour operators with their territorial scope, coverage of sustainablility sections, availability of standards and assessment system.
The research on the certification programmes has been done by ECOTRANS, completed with additional initiatives by AKTE, Tourism Watch and NFI. The guide is available as print and pdf version in German language, other languages will follow.
