News STAY FAIR: Together for more sustainable travel sales

The STAY FAIR initiative has set itself the goal of promoting the sale of certified, sustainable hotels. The initiative was planned by FAIRWEG and implemented in cooperation with the European network for sustainable tourism development – ECOTRANS.

More visibility for sustainable accommodations

Accommodations that have a valid certificate that meets the minimum requirements are identified and highlighted by the STAY FAIR symbol. The STAY FAIR symbol increases the visibility of these businesses in advisory tools, reservation systems, catalogs and other sales systems, such as Amadeus Bistro Portal which is used in 13,000 travel agencies and call-centers in Germany and Austria. Travel advisors, like travel seekers, receive a trustworthy selection criterion that reliably supports them in choosing more sustainable accommodation.
