MUISZ (Association of Hungarian Travel Agencies)

The Association of Hungarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents (MUISZ) started to operate in 1974. The main task of the Association is to work for the interest of its membership, to represent the travel trade on every possible forum, to assist and intervene wherever possible for achieving the best conditions both for the members and for the trade. Together with the Tourism Department of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry MUISZ created the ethical codes of the travel enterprises in 1999, laying down general ethical standards for the industry. It states the basic requirements of business conduct, the expected attitude and behaviour both among members and toward customers.
