It takes no long time to realize the hearty and familial atmosphere of the Bio Café & Bistro Moccachili. Owner Dorothe Schindler tries constantly to meet the expectations of their guests regarding quality and is still forming an active part in the kitchen even after 10 years.
Only ten minutes walking distance from the train station, centered in the quarter of St.Johann close to the Johanneskriche and the theater, Moccachili represents a common venue for a relaxed coffee break.

Extract from the interview with Dorothe Schindler on the 08. January 2018:
From where do you purchase your products? Do you pay attention to regional and seasonal products?
Yes of course! We attach importance to buy regional and seasonal products from different farmers, for example the Wintringer Hof and the Gemüsehof Werling, as well as smaller farmers. We also pay attention to creating our menu with regard to seasonality.
Do you cultivate some products by your own?
No, unfortunately not, I would like to but in case of time it is not possible. Because of our certificate, we are constrained to buy our products only from manufacturer, which also have this certificate. We are not allowed to buy from others.
How is your opinion on FairTrade?
Right from the beginning - which was nearly 10 years ago - until now, we purchase products like tea and coffee from fair trading partners like GEPA, which catches highest satisfaction of our guests.
Do you mind a nice cup of coffee? ;-)
How do your guests and employees value your concept?
Most of our guests visit this café consciously because of good quality and good taste. On account of this, it makes me proud to see why people are coming to Moccachili, and how the concept is working. On the other side, some guests do not pay attention on our Bio products, they only come because of the good taste.
Not only our guests are satisfied, also the employees are oriented on this philosophy. Most of the employees are coming to work by foot or by bike. They really like this concept.
Does your café fit the requirements for accessibility?
Due to limited space it is complicated to implement all these requirements. Our toilets are barrier-free and accessible for everyone.
Where do you see your strenghts?
In my opinion, we are the only café which serves this Bio quality. We create everything by our own, for example we make every day 2-5 cakes which also have a special focus on nutrition or eating intolerances like gluten-free, vegan etc. There is no chance to make it more fresh!
