Bananí, which in Tupi (Indian) language means winding road, has been in the market for six years as an incoming tour operator. The company was founded in 2002 by Jan Poul Sórensen and Maibrit Thomsen. Since then, we work as a tour operator specialized in eco and cultural tourism in Rio de Janeiro and the rest of Brazil. Our staff and our operating partners are highly specialized and have been selected because of their knowledge and reliability. We support and aim to develop sustainable activities in every way possible, be it within an urban environment , or seeking wildlife in the Pantanal. Sustainability includes involving and respecting the local population and environment, working with smaller groups, minimizing the environmental impact and BANANI strives to do this.
