Tides is a research institute whose objectives are to undertake research in tourism of excellence, generating and disseminating scientific knowledge and to be integrated in the international networks of tourism of excellence. The institute also provides education, training and awareness to improve the tourism development. Finally, it applies the generated knowledge to impulse the improvement of economic, social and environmental tourism in diverse destinations.
