ECOSALENTO Turismo Sostenibile in Salento
EcoSalento is an association of social utility that works for the development of sustainable tourism in Salento. And 'apolitical, self-financed ... and a little' nomadic (continuous shift between Lecce and Vicenza). We propose an 'alternative to mass tourism and services ecosoggiorni suggesting that emphasizes the protection of the territory and of the' environment. Our preference is for accommodations with reduced environmental impact that are committed in the reduction of energy consumption in the rational management of water, the reduction and recycling of waste. We believe that this type of approach could offer a 'opportunities for economic development and new employment. Practicing sustainable tourism is a responsible choice that conserves natural resources and provides a source of income both to residents in the 'hinterland to both small businesses by increasing the turnover of the latter and thus creating economic development.
