The Croatian Chamber of Economy is an independent professional and business organization of all legal entities engaging in business. It was established in 1852, organized in European tradition. Every company registered with the Commercial Court is a member of the Chamber. The Croatian Chamber of Economy consists of the Headquarters in Zagreb and 20 county chambers.

Functionally, the CCE consists of 46 professional associations and 27 affiliations gathered in 8 departments dealing with the respective branch of the economy. Tourism department gathers active members in tourism operating through their professional affiliations and associations. The common tasks of professional associations include: the representation of common interests of the membership before institutional policy makers,  incentives and proposals relating to legislation and business conditions, particularly when it comes to the drafting of special laws and defining specific requirements for an activity; analyses of current economic trends within a sector and monitoring home and abroad.

The CCE supports participation in projects promoting and developing responsible and sustainable tourism based on transnational cooperation of companies, organisations, agencies and authorities in order to exchange information, experiences, scientific research and networking.
