Journey to Japan 2020
If you are a Martial Artist, you may know that Karate will make its debut as an Olympic sport at next year's Tokyo 2020 Olympics. I am asking all martial arts clubs to mark the event with a 'Say No to Knife Crime' campaign in your area.
Also, to publicize this, I am planning a trip to Japan to make an international call for peace between all people this summer. I will be going to the island of Shikoku to make a small pilgramage highlighting the efforts of Japan's Kobo Daichi, an 8th century Buddhist monk who has been my life long inspiration, who built over 90 temples commemorated to the Buddha of Compassion, promotion a value much-needed in our corrent violent age, and a cornerstone of martial arts philosophy.
All help to realise this is appreciated, so please contact me to work together on this to make an Olympic effort for peace not just globally, but locally as well.
