The Centre for Studies on Tourism was founded in October 2001 within the Faculty of Language and Literature at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart, seat of Brescia, in agreement with the University Institute of East Lombardy (EULO). It is proposed as a place of research and training in the field of tourism and refers to the disciplines in which you realize synergies between cultural and linguistic studies and tourism management: ? The linguistic sciences for tourism: interlingual and intercultural mediation, communication, tourism and the construction of cultural identities; ? Travel literature, particularly that related to the territory of Brescia; ? History of tourism, with particular regard to the territory of Brescia and Lombardy East; ? Local cultural tourism; ? Tourism marketing and destination branding.
