University of Trieste - "Slow Tourism" Project

Department of Political and Social Science. Project "SLOWTOURISM. Enhancement and promotion of tourist routes between Italy and Slovenia." The project is configured with a multidisciplinary approach (marketing, network approach, planning, etc..) Aim: definition of Slow Slow Tourism and tourists, guidelines for operators, analysis of the area, etc..; concrete actions on the field: development of pilot of tourism in affected areas on the main tourism products related to the theme of water and nature tourism (bird watching, photography and tourism bio-watching, cycling, river tourism and sports activities related to water - tourism, fishing, canoeing and other forms of sports tourism). Through Slow Tourism refers to structure a new tourist areas in the Italian and Slovenian Adriatic characterized by natural elements and the element of water quality by developing forms of tourism "slow" that pay special attention to the concepts of sustainability, responsibility and eco-compatibility.
