SiTI - Higher Institute on Territorial Systems for Innovation is a non-profit organization, founded in 2002 by the Politecnico of Torino and "Compagnia di San Paolo", which conducts research and training oriented towards innovation and socio-economic growth . The Institute operates as an integrator of skills, in order to offer practical answers to complex problems affecting the region and its operating systems. Activities: logistics and transport, heritage, environmental and urban regeneration, security of the territory. SiTI plays instrumental activities of monitoring and evaluation of intervention in various sectors of the Society of St. Paul, with a particular commitment to the "Housing Program". + DICAS, Reception and visitor management. Reception and visitor management through the method of "visitor management", which is characterized as an integrated approach, consisting essentially of a strategic and an analytical phase. The study is configured as one of the first cases in Italy of application of the methodology of "visitor management", but more common in Anglo-Saxon countries, as it not only combines simultaneously the three themes of accessibility -hospitality and information service-, but is also tested on three different spatial (both geographically and tourism), focusing attention during the analysis on the use of innovative techniques both in terms of methodology and in terms of the technologies. The purpose of the work performed by SITI - Higher Institute on Territorial Systems for Innovation and DICAS - Department of Housing and City Polytechnic of Turin, is to provide operational guidelines, which are useful to policy makers, to improve in terms of management and reception the local tourism system. The visitor management has been applied to tourism products and to different contexts (Lake Orta, Venaria, Susa Valley) allowing to adapt the methodology, to make it flexible in relation to specific needs.
