CESTIT- University of Bergamo

The Centre for Tourism Studies and the interpretation of the territory (CeSTIT) was established in June 1999 and is based at the Department of Science of Language, Communication and Cultural Studies Faculty of Foreign Languages ??and Literatures of the University Bergamo. The Center is configured as a place of cultural development, theoretical and applied research, training and consultancy in the areas of tourism, heritage and cultural activities. Activities: • Develop researches and studies • Building databases • Carry out research and consultancy/ public-private partnership • Promote cultural activities, symposia and conferences • Develop relationships with Italian and foreign scholars • Organize training initiatives. Partnership with the Region of Lombardy, the Province of Bergamo and other local institutions such as scientific support and advice on specific issues of tourism development and cultural territory.
