Tour Operators Initiative
The TOI and WWF tested in 2004, in Lastovo (Croatia), the opportunities for forging a partnership to support biodiversity conservation in areas of high-volume tourism and in 2006, they signed a Cooperation Agreement to achieve raise awareness of the visitors about the values of biodiversity and of tourism entrepreneurs about the relevance of biodiversity conservation to the tourism business.
