Olympos2020 is an initiative by RTM to develop sustainable tourism in the destination Olympos, Adrasan, Cirali (Kumluca region).
The RTM Center in Olympos is hosting conferences and meetings and show-casing good practices.
In September 2012 the first conference "Connecting Past & Future" brought together local and regional decision makers, stakeholders and international experts to learn about sustainable tourism development and certification worldwide, with special focus on ecotourism and community based tourism.

RTM Antalya is launching the Olympos2020 Initiative, in collaboration with "Friends in Germany" and "ECOTRANS"

Conferences and other sustainable activities are held on the RTM Olympos Center.
At the second conference "Connection Past & Future II" in April 2013,a team of international experts from ECOTRANS presented good practices examples and methods for sustainable tourism in Europe. Together with the local and regional participants important objectives and measures were identified and discused.
As result the participants agreed on the "Declaration Olympos2020" as common base for the further development of rural sustainable tourism until 2020. |
