GSTC certification is an international standard that aims to concretely encourage the development of all aspects of sustainable tourism, both of the hotels as well as of the destinations. Being recognized worldwide, it allows establishments and destinations to concretely demonstrate their commitment to promoting sustainable management of tourism from an economic, social and environmental point of view.

The GSTC mark is obtained through the Vireo certification service.
Vireo is a certification body accredited by Accreditation Services International to manage GSTC certifications. This means that the GSTC certification service is evaluated and monitored by an independent third party ensuring the independence and credibility of the entire system.
