The GreenSign certification programs are awarded by the GreenSign Institute which is based in Berlin, Germany. It offers certification programs for hotels (market leader in Germany), SPAs, offices and restaurants according to their sustainable engagement in national and international markets. GreenSign certified hotels meet criteria regarding ecological standards, social commitment and economic longevity and are awared with a GreenSign Level 1-5 according to their holistic sustainability status quo. Throughout the three years of certification validity, hotels have the opportunity to improve their sustainable performance with the help of GreenSign and its wide array of partners and experts. Since summer 2022, the GreenSign hotel standard has been recognized by the Global Sustainble Tourism Council. |
