Founded in 1989, unites well-known in the Urals, scientists, public figures, teachers, lawyers, journalists, businessmen, economists, whose professional activity is connected with the environment.The mission of the Ural Ecological Union - promoting improvement of ecological situation in the Urals, the search for sustainable regional development through environmental education, and social - significant environmental projects, peer assessments, legislative activities, lobbying national and local authorities on environmental protection and sustainable development region. Important place in the Union's activities is the development of cooperation between public associations and increase their value in society. Ural Ecological Union is a collective member of the International Socio - Ecological Union.
