Save the Aral Sea and the Amu Darya River was organized in 1989 and officially registered as a public association by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Karakalpakstan in late 1991. The organization's purpose - to help save and restore the river Amu Darya and the Aral Sea, the development of international cooperation in the field of ecology.
