| Green Awards Caribbean hotels depend primarily on the environment for the proliferation of their business. The conservation of energy and reduction of solid waste for example, save the environment and by extension, business as well. A hotel's environmental program serves to protect long-term investment, control costs, and provide a marketing opportunity. Sound environmental practice is therefore a wise business decision. This award encourages good environmental ("green") management within hotel properties and awards those properties that have done a remarkable job "greening" their hotel. |
