“Ecolabels for Sustainable Tourism in Europe: Demonstrating how Ecolabels can move the European Tourism Market towards Sustainability“
European project supported by the LIFE programme, in co-operation with ECEAT projects (lead partner), NFI, Stattreisen Hannover (Reisepavillon) and ARPA Emilia Romagna, international and national NGOs, leading Ecolabels in Europe, tourism and consumers associations. Four phases: European set of environmental indicators for destinations, common standard for existing Ecolabels, co-operation with tour operators, image and consumers campaign. Publication of "The VISIT initiative" as online version and as pdf in English, German and Italian language .Co-founding of the VISIT Association, registered in Amsterdam, 2004.
