The GreenSign certification programs are awarded by the GreenSign Institute which is based in Berlin, Germany. It offers certification programs for hotels (market leader in Germany), SPAs, offices and restaurants according to their sustainable engagement in national and international markets. GreenSign-certified hotels fulfil criteria with regard to ecological standards, social commitment and economic sustainability and are awarded a degree of conformity according to their holistic sustainability performance. Throughout the three years of certification validity, hotels have the opportunity to improve their sustainable performance with the help of GreenSign and its wide array of partners and experts. Since summer 2022, the GreenSign hotel standard has been recognized by the Global Sustainble Tourism Council. |
