Study on the Competitiveness of the EU tourism industry

In international tourist arrival statistics, the EU consistently appears as the number one tourism destination in the world. With approximately 380 million international tourist arrivals in 2007, the EU received 42% of the total number of international arrivals in the world.The Study on the Competitiveness of the EU tourism industry - with specific focus on the accommodation and tour operator & travel agent industries - was commissioned by the Commission and run by Ecorys.
