Our credo: Nature – beach – relaxation
Nature is our top priority. We owe this to our location directly on the Wohlenberger Wiek, a flora-fauna habitat nature reserve. This also has a very serious background: we are so close and deep to the water that it is only a matter of time before we are flooded again.
We want to offer climate-neutral holidays by the 2026 season. We’ve already achieved a lot. Get an overview of our sustainability here.
Award-winning environmental management
ostseequelle.camp has been awarded the EcoCamping environmental management certificate since 2024. We are planning to achieve further environmental certifications, e.g. EU Eco-Label.
However, we keep stumbling over hurdles that interfere with licensing, as these are associated with high costs, enormous time expenditure and at the same time bring very little benefit. We are therefore focussing more on making sustainability easy, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.
Our mission statement: sustainability in harmony with nature and hospitality
At ostseequelle.camp, we see sustainability not just as an obligation, but as a lived philosophy. Our aim is to create a camping park that is in harmony with nature and at the same time offers a high level of comfort and hospitality.
Sustainability strategy:
- “Zero” CO2 emissions by 2026: We have set ourselves the ambitious goal of realising a CO2 emission-free camping park by the 2026 season. We will achieve this through the use of renewable energies, electric mobility and electric tools, as well as the targeted protection of nature and biodiversity.
- Energy efficiency and ecological standards: The use of second-hand electrical and durable appliances, renewable energy and certified cleaning products are just a few examples of our efforts to achieve energy efficiency and ecological standards.
- Health and experiencing nature: Our focus is not only on the environment, but also on the health of our guests. The salty air and the experience of nature help to ensure that a stay with us is not only sustainable, but also beneficial to health.
- Awareness-raising and participation: We see sustainability as a shared responsibility. We therefore focus on continuous education and the active involvement of our guests, employees and partners in our sustainability efforts.
By consistently implementing these guidelines and strategies, we not only want to create a place for unforgettable holiday experiences, but also make a contribution to protecting our environment and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
