European destinations awarded for their sustainability performance
During the recent Sustainable Tourism Conference at St. Andrews, Scotland addressing sustainable tourism development, European tourism destinations were recognized and awarded the âRoyal Destination Award for Sustainable Tourism, 2007â. Prominent delegates from all over Europe welcomed the winning destination Fiskars Village from Finland, and the two other finalists: Pielach Valley from Austria and Cairngorms National Park from Scotland, United Kingdom.
