CERTIFIED is an independent certification institute for the hotel industry. CERTIFIED hotels and locations are qualified and certified by travel and event managers. A CERTIFIED GREEN HOTEL is based on the three pillars of sustainability – ecology, economy and social aspects. The CO2 footprint is included. The criteria catalog contains a total of 95 test criteria. In order to be awarded the certificate, all 11 must-have criteria must be met and 50% of the points must be achieved. The certificate is adapted to the strict requirements of international standards such as the Sustainable Development Goals (GDS) and Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). A CERTIFIED GREEN HOTEL is a sustainably and future-oriented hotel. The responsible and sustainable use of resources is just as important as fair treatment of staff and suppliers. |
