European Ecotourism Labelling Standard (Version 2012) & E-Tools

The European Ecotourism Labelling Standard - EETLS has been developed in 2008-2009, using the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria (GSTC) and the Ecotourism definition of The International Ecotourism Society (TIES) as guidance. In 2010-2011 the EETLS have been revised and completed with detailed explanations, indicators and good practice examples. In September 2011 the EETLS has been officially recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council. The EETLS is the base for the E-evaluation tools for tourism businesses and evaluators in Europe, as developed and tested by the ECOLNET project partners in 2011-2013. |
