5th International Convention of Eco-Tourism

Development of Potential of Adventure Tourism in Serbia.

Adventure Tourism is a special branch of tourism which includes two out of the three following items: physical activity, cultural exchange or interaction and contact with nature. This kind of tourism is in early stage of development in our country. Bad economic situation and isolation of Serbia during the 90s are some of the reasons why extreme sports have shown up late in this region. Adventure Tourism isn’t mentioned in the Low on Tourism in Serbia. Domestic market should be familiarized with it and its special offers. There isn’t enough information about it, tourist attractions are fragmented and there aren’t many travel agencies who can offer this kind of arrangement.
