Sustainable Tourism in Adriatic & Ionian Region
On the occasion of the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development 2017, the workshop on “The Present and Future of Sustainable and Responsible Tourism” aims at sharing expertise and good practise across stakeholders of the Adriatic and Ionian Region. With a strong focus on SMEs, the workshop is rooted on the Sustainable Tourism Pillar (4) of the European Strategy for the region (EUSAIR).
Moreover, the workshop shall raise awareness of the potential of tourism to advance the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular through the Sustainable Tourism Programme of the 10-Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP STP).
