QualityCoast with the GSTC criteria for Destinations!
QualityCoast first to incorporate GSTC-D, the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria for Destinations
QualityCoast is the first global award and certification programme that incorporated the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria for Destinations (GSTC-D). Within two weeks after their publication at WTM, all criteria haven been included in the QualityCoast Application form.
During the previous years, QualityCoast had already worked with the GSTC draft versions 0.1 and 0.2. Experience from these tests have now been used to frame at the Coastal & Marine Union the process of developing the final QualityCoast criteria.
Coastal destinations seeking guidance and recognition in meeting the global standard on sustainability, can do so by applying for a QualityCoast Award.
