Appointing a contact person for your university to deal with the Alliance network management:
Updating relevant information on the Tourism2030 knowledge base
Peer reviewing and/or creating contents for the online courses
Providing businesses for the internship programme at the European level
Facilitating students able to join the internship programme
Providing contacts for other universities that may be interested in joining the Alliance in the event of expanding the network
Be part of a collaborative funding and resourcing process for implementing the system
Work towards establishing the legal framework for a European Association or another appropriate legal form.

AGENDA:

1- Covid-19 Tourism Training and Education Update
The discussion covered what was happening in various European countries as the borders start to reopen. The perception that green issues need to be re-affirmed as critical to sustainable job growth was expressed as markets and employment are being heavily funded in the recovery spending.

2- CO HOST Application to work on VET in Sustainable Tourism - Implications for National Sustainable Tourism Knowledge Centre role of TRIANGLE members
A sixth funding application was made to the EU. THis is based on the the delivery of VET education across Europe that can be supported by TRIANGLE members.

3- Protected area contact listings for businesses and destinations who want to have a green post covid 19 recovery

All HEIs will be asked to collect contacts of protected areas and the destinations and businesses in protected areas in TRIANGLE HEIs' countries. THis was completed by the project partners but need to be done by the new HEIs. The aim would be to produce a Europe-wide map of TRIANGLE protected area contacts that might use the going green toolkit and courses on a commercial basis byy use this networking opportunity for promotion and marketing or for future funding applications.

Ecotrans will make an information page stating the benefits for PAs and send out an information request

4- TRIANGLE Collaborative Course Delivery, see TRIANGLE courses & resources A recent executive meeting discussed the idea of putting a EU wide course together that can be jointly operated. Wolfgang will provide a paper on this

5- Request for tourism environmental impact information in the Covid-19 crisis by the UNEP

Ecotrains has received a rquest to provide informaiton for a UN report on environmental consequences of the pandemic. Members will be sen the request to provide direct feedback.

6- Ecotrans EU Parliament input - shaping EU travel and tourism policyEcotrans submitted suggestions for ensuring sustainability is embedded n the UE recovery strategy.

7- Student Questionaire

Miroslav explained a student covid-19 questionaire in chech that he will transpate until 3rd July to be sent to Gordon to develop a survey that all Triangle HEIs can send to their students to gain a EU wide perspective.

8- Executive Board update

The meeting discussed reviewing members executive functions. Each HEI should reaffirm their committments to their roles in order that the programme areas are managed by a wider team with the aim to reach monthly TRIANGLE programme feedback system by the appointed programme area coordinators.The discussion askedhow to motivate all TRIANGLE HEIs. It was stressed that this is a unique network and has advantages for European networking for both & HEIs as Institutions and their professors as individuals.

The HEIs should be asked the following questions either informally or as a survey:

COURSES: are you interested in integration T-courses into your learning/teaching environment? which module?
your suggestions: how to make a common course?
how would you like to use the Triangle KA? to achieve what? (e.g. to get interesting guest speakers)
how to improve the communication on the Tourism2030 Knowledge Base? 10 Topics' compasses? > e.g. new page

Ecotrans proposes to develop a Tourism2030 Digest that could contain Triangle Network news from members to members. There could also be a spotlight on members (e.g. 1-3 members present what they are doing now & are interested in & potential synergies with Triangle KA) at the monthly meeting

A "from member to members email address" needs to be established based on triangle@tourism2030.eu that goes to all HEIs emails so that members can reach out to everyone directly.

Any Other Business:Herbert suggests the Cosme proposal ETGG2030 will be submittable again in October 2020. However, Modul will not able to be the lead applicant, so we should look for a replacement now.

Response to Covid-19: tourism sector consideration
Participants shared their views on their countiry's current situation vis a vis tourism. With regard to the obersatory page suggested at the last meeting, no-one at this meeting had been present and would like a clearer understanding. However, it was felt that there are many initiatives trying to collate data, and the future of the situation is still unclear as to how it will go, but the discussion was centred on the scenario of a sustainability first or economy first choice that policy makers will face, with the latter likely to be the way forward. The need for TRIANGLE universities to determine what role they might play in the recovery and then reporting on that was perferred to just collected information on what initiatives are being undertaken.
Strategic partnership & youth: project opportunity & TRIANGLE HEIs involvement
The bid was introduced as one of four bids that have been developed by Ecotrans to support the network since is post project operational start last November. The inclusion of Palacky University was discussed - they were intitially in the bid partnership, and will be reincluded as potentially Europarc might belong to a competing bid. The Uni of Malta offer to link their 4 protected areas to the project in order to help the territorial focus on the Med whihc would happen if MEET join in.
Online course development & use
The use of the material was discussed and it was felt that more needs to be done to improve the collaborative development apporach to put the material into a quality development cycle. The current Covid-19 crisis was cited as one example of how the material now needs to be updated.
Any other business - TRIANGLE Graduate Network Certification

Pooyan raised the issue of certificate issuing to TRIANGLE students who have not recieved theim. As all students did not do the same course there are three certificates which need issuing (with a fourth potential to HNEE graduates) which makes it difficult to know who has not received a certifcate yet. Pooyan will provide a list of students who fall into this category, and Gordon will assess the situation with Herbert and Heike to resolve the problem.fi

No date was set for the next meeting in a months time. This will be dealt with by email.

1. 2020 TRIANGLE Knowledge Alliance Cluster management
	The TRIANGLE Government Structure shows the responsibilities for the coordination of the TRIANGLE working areas by the Executive Board, e.g. the Sorbonne University is coordinating the TRIANGLE KA. The Executive Board will meet in February to specify their work and next steps. The TRIANGLE project final report will be submitted 31st January. Project opportunities with participation of TRIANGLE KA HEIs: a. Submitted in October 2019: The evaluation of the proposal to COSME with the title "European Tourism Going Green 2030" (ETGG2030), lead applicant: MODUL (AT) - will probably be finished end of February 2020. If ETGG2030 should be awarded (crossing fingers!) we will be able to further develop and apply the Going Green toolkit and the Travel Green Europe app to boost Sustainable Tourism in European SMEs. As part of the project the TRIANGLE KA HEIs shall produce national input to a a European status report on Sustainable Tourism Development policies and initiatives. > see the ETGG2030 Proposal Summary b. to be submitted 26 February and 2 April 2020: New project opportunities have been identified and outlined by ECOTRANS in January: they shall now be discussed with potential/ preliminary key partners, then communicated to the TRIANGLE KA members to comment. If there will be substantial common interest AND a committed writing team (!) then substantial proposals shall be written and submitted in time: b1. Programme ERASMUS + 2020 b.1.1. Knowledge Alliances: Project working title "Triangle +2030", submission deadline: 26 February 2020 > see the "TRIANGLE+2030" details and Concept document b.1.2. TRIANGLE KA Membership Survey

This survey is being conducted as part of the ETGG 2030 project to see the current interest TRIANGLE members have in participating in the TRIANGLE Knowledge Alliance next year. We specifically want to know if and how you can strengthen your role as national sustainable tourism knowledge transfer hubs in a European-wide process that is part of a cluster of stakeholders supporting European tourism destination and SME sustainability.

Please answer the survey questions by the 21st November.

After that date we plan to hold an end of year meeting to discuss the results collectivley and plan how to move forward with our Knowledge Alliance.
