<p>Victor Mutanga, one of the UNESCO Olympic Youth Pece Ambassadors trained at the London 2012 games, recently released his heartfelt call for the Truce in Africa under the IOTCs Olympic Truce theme ‘<a href="https://soundcloud.com/imagine-peace-2/imagine-peace">Imagine Peace’.</a> </p>
<p>Now you can put your talent to work fo promote the Truce - this is your chance to put the words in the poem below to music or music and video<b>, to win a chance to go to Rio this summer! </b></p>
<p>During the week the United Kingdom and Germany formally declared their countries were at war in the middle east Olympic Truce campaign coordinator wrote this poem and then adapted it to highlight the One Minute Silence the Peace Ambassadors are calling for at the Opening and Closing ceremony to mainstream the truce.</p>

<p>I’m having One Minute’s Silence</p>
<p>To think of my Family</p>
<p>Our Nations - One Race</p>
<p>But why all this poverty</p>
<p>And that child’s sad face …?</p>
<p>… Its Germany at war today</p>
<p>1200 boots on foreign soil</p>
<p>Tornadoes, boats for toys to play</p>
<p>With Britain’s Brimstones and the odd Paveway</p>
<p>Orchestrated by a French rage</p>
<p>That’s been simulated</p>
<p>to trumpet the Horseman coalition they called</p>
<p>To fight their Holy War once more</p>
<p>US against Them</p>
<p>Centuries of pain for economic gain …</p>
<p>… But these same visionaries, so politic</p>
<p>Who lead us, passionate for brutal conflict</p>
<p>They signed up to a holy Truce</p>
<p>This summer’s Games the Heaven Days</p>
<p>We ‘ll all sit round one fire-light</p>
<p>Make peace, run, swim and play</p>
<p>NOT! Well that’s what I heard them say</p>
<p>that day the Truce was signed</p>
<p>One eighty times</p>
<p>A UN Resolution</p>
<p>that should be the main solution</p>
<p>with an end to all violence</p>
<p>marked by a One Minute Silence …</p>

<p>The competition will have two winners - one for best song, and one for best graphics. Entries have to be made online by 29 July 2016, the day the Truce starts. The Olympic Truce Peace Ambassadors will form a jury to judge the entries, with a decision announced on 5<sup>th</sup> August at the start of the Games. All judges decesions are final.</p>
