National level Observatory Processes

Each country has a statistical office dealing with tourism statistics at the national level. the European Travel Commission maintain a membership list of National Statistical Offices in Europe and a list of statistical sources in ETC member countries on international and domestic tourism to and within their region. 

They also offer TourMIS* which gives you easy access to data on tourism flows between and to the majority of the 35 European countries. You can obtain free registration to the database via the above link.

Regional and national tourissm observatories are also managed by universities, e.g. in Italy
